Caracas, Jan 26 (RHC) Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro described as pleasant and productive the meeting held Wednesday with his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Diaz-Canel.

It was a meeting to analyze the struggles of the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean, and strengthen the historical and revolutionary ties that unite us, he wrote on his Twitter account.

The lands of (José) Martí and (Simón) Bolívar have always been and will always be united by the great dreams of integration, justice, and humanity, he stressed. The presidents of Cuba and Venezuela met in the state of La Guaira and held a working meeting.

The dignitaries reaffirmed their commitment to defend a world of peace and cooperation in favor of international solidarity.

The two heads of state held a dialogue last December, on the occasion of the XXII Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Treaty, which was held in Havana.

At that meeting, Díaz-Canel reiterated his unrestricted support for the Venezuelan nation and stressed that the perseverance, dignity, and courage of the people of that country in the face of the continuous attacks against it will remain in history as another example that it is possible.

The bilateral relations of brotherhood between Cuba and Venezuela reaffirm the common interest of promoting and fostering progress in terms of the integration of Latin America and the Caribbean. (Source: Prensa Latina).
