The coordinator of the Bridges of Love solidarity project, Carlos Lazo, invited people who were in Saint Paul or the Minneapolis area to participate in the solidarity demonstration. The meeting took place in the South High School parking lot, 3131 19th Ave So, Minneapolis.
This Sunday more than 20 cities in the United States and the world demanded the construction of bridges of love with Cuba and the end of coercive measures from Washington.
The inclusion of Cuba in the U.S. list of alleged countries sponsoring terrorism reinforces the deterrent and intimidating impact of the blockade, as well as the difficulties of the island to enter international trade and carry out financial operations, said the Caribbean Foreign Ministry.
In the last days of former President Donald Trump (2017-2021, then Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, once again included the Caribbean nation in the list of countries sponsors of terrorism, from which the Barack Obama-Joe Biden administration (2009-2017) withdrew it in 2015.

The solidarity caravans take place the last weekend of each month and among other demands, they defend the family reunification program, the sending of remittances, and travel to Cuba, affected by the more than 240 measures imposed by Trump's mandate.
