Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs recieved Italian ambassador
Havana, March 20 (RHC) The Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, received on Monday the Italian ambassador, Roberto Vellano, with whom he ratified the will to continue strengthening bilateral relations.
The head of Cuban diplomacy stated on his Twitter account that both countries are working to develop economic, commercial, investment and cooperation ties.
In 2020, Cuban brigades from the Henry Reeve Medical Contingent provided assistance to the Italian cities of Crema and Turin, during the confrontation with the COVID-19 pandemic. For their outstanding work, the health personnel received multiple distinctions and this help was considered an example of the humanist principle of Cuban medicine.
Both nations maintain close economic ties, reflected in the visit of Italian businessmen to the Antillean nation and in the celebration of agreements of common interest such as the Cuba-Italy Binational Committee. (Source: Prensa Latina)
