Djibouti will reinforce special education with specialists from Cuba
Havana, Apr 7 (RHC) Seven specialists from the Cuban Ministry of Education arrived in Djibouti this Thursday to care for children in need of special care for a year, as reported today by Cuban ambassador to Djibouti Marcelo Caballero Torres.
Caballero Torres and the Secretary General of the Djiboutian Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training, Mohamed Abdallah Mahyoub, received the group of Cuban professionals made up of six Masters in Sciences and one Doctor of Sciences.
Thus, a collaboration program between the two countries begins, having as precedent the Framework Agreement for Cooperation and Technical Assistance in the educational area and professional training, signed in Havana in October two thousand twenty-two.
The current agreement aims at establishing bilateral cooperation relations for the development of a program that includes technical assistance in the implementation of the special education system in Djibouti. Similarly, it includes the training of teachers for the attention of students with special needs in the field of neurosciences, special didactics and the psychology of child development.
