Cuban ambassador meets with Azerbaijani tourism agencies
Havana, May 12 (RHC) Cuban ambassador in Azerbaijan Carlos Valdés held an exchange today in Baku with executives of Azerbaijan’s Association of Tourism Agencies.
Christopher Martínez, head of the Venezuelan diplomatic mission in Baku, also participated in the meeting. He and Valdés discussed the development of tourist relations and the opportunity to expand cooperation.
On the Azerbaijani side, the meeting was led by Goydeniz Kahramanov, president of the board of directors of the Association of Tourism Agencies, who informed both ambassadors about the activities carried out by the entity with member companies of the institution and their role in the development of the tourism.
Kahramanov pointed out the interest of his country in establishing bilateral trade relations, expanding cooperation and increasing the attraction of Cuba’s and Venezuela’s tourist destinations.
For his part, the Cuban head of mission mentioned the various opportunities and tourist destinations in Cuba, and stressed that the Caribbean nation has close tourist relations with some post-Soviet countries and wishes to see Azerbaijan among them.
Valdés highlighted the re-emergence of Cuban tourism after the pandemic and the organization of vacation trips and other modalities. He also mentioned that Cuba is ready to act together on this path.
During the talks, opinions were exchanged on the establishment of communication ties, promotion, work cooperation, organization of promotional meetings and working to specify direct flights in the near future between Baku, Havana and Caracas. (Source: Prensa Latina)
