Havana, May 18 (RHC)--  The country's top leadership, headed by the First Secretary of the Party Central Committee and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, evaluate the actions developed in terms of achieving greater socioeconomic development in the province of Holguín.

The President's Office said on Twitter that this meeting is the thirteenth to take place in the country since last week, with the aim of evaluating the fulfillment of the commitments made in January, to respond to the current situation of the country.

Accompanying the head of state are the Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, the secretary of organization of the Central Committee of the Party, Roberto Morales, and the vice president, Salvador Valdés.

Recovering agricultural production in Cuba has been the main theme of these check-up meetings, already held in the provinces of Artemisa, Sancti Spíritus, Villa Clara, Cienfuegos, Matanzas, Mayabeque, Pinar del Río, Havana, Camagüey, Guantánamo, Santiago de Cuba and Granma.

By the way, the Prime Minister commented today on Twitter that despite the fact that there are interesting experiences and areas in which progress has been made, the expected results have not yet been achieved.

For example, in the agricultural sector and in food production, it is still not possible to meet the population's demand, he said. (Source:ACN)
