Havana, June 9 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel affirmed Friday that his country will never fail to comply with the commitments made by the parties in the peace process between the Colombian government and the National Liberation Army (ELN).

Díaz-Canel encouraged the parties to take advantage of this special moment that the South American nation is experiencing and to promote the longed-for peace in Colombian society.

The Cuban head of state called on all Colombians to put their hearts into this endeavor of the national executive and the ELN.

On this day, the parties agreed during the Third Cycle of the Peace Dialogues, concluded in Havana, on the bilateral ceasefire and the establishment of mechanisms for a broad participation of the Colombian society in the peace process.
