Mozambican President reiterates his country's condemnation of the US economic blockade against Cuba

Havana, Aug 25 (RHC) The President of Mozambique, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, reaffirmed this Friday his country's condemnation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by United States on Cuba.

In official conversations with the Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, Nyusi ratified his solidarity with the Cuban people and praised their resilience in the face of these coercive measures.

The Mozambican president also thanked the help provided by Cuba in times as difficult as the covid-19 pandemic, in addition to the historic cooperation in areas such as health and education. Nyusi spoke out for deepening these ties and also getting closer in fields such as the biotechnological industry and agriculture.

In turn, the Cuban president showed gratitude for the unalterable support of this country in support of the lifting of the blockade, and noted that this shows the understanding of the impact of this policy on the standard of living of the people.

Díaz-Canel arrived in Maputo this Friday morning, where he visited the Assembly of the Republic and placed a wreath in the city's Heroes' Square. (Source: PL)
