Cuban President to attend UNGA high-level segment
Havana, Sep 17 (RHC) The Foreign Ministry informed on Sunday that Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel will travel to New York to participate in the high-level segment of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The first president of the Caribbean nation said on the same social network that Cuba will be there presenting the claims of the Group of 77 (G77) Summit and those of its people.
Díaz-Canel will attend the meeting in his capacity as president pro tempore of the G77 to present the results of the recently concluded Havana Summit, considered highly productive and a success due to the great participation and the high level of agreement.
The meeting stood out for the level of consensus that allowed the adoption of a final declaration advocating for changing the unfair international financial order that limits the development of the countries of the South. (Source: PL)
