Havana, September 13 (RHC)-— Delegates from Mexico, the Dominican Republic and other Caribbean nations have met in Havana to prepare the 27th Ibero-American Conference of Youth Ministers and High-Level Representatives.
According to Juventud Rebelde newspaper, the meeting took place Friday in Havana in the presence of Alejo Ramirez, who heads the Ibero-American Youth Organization. Participants analyzed documents to be submitted to the Conference to take place September 17th through the 19th in Burgos, Spain.
They also considered the event’s program, a draft declaration and final resolutions that include issues like the US blockade of Cuba, the situation of the Malvinas Islands, among others.
The first secretary of Cuba’s Young Communist League, Yuniasky Crespo, called on the delegates to establish a dialog with respect for all diverse expressions, while Alejo Ramirez thanked Cuba and its youth organization for the warm hospitality and for the potential contribution to the conference.
The Ibero-American Youth Organization is made up of 21 nations and is an international multi-government entity that gathers youth ministers from the Ibero-American community.
