Havana, December 21 (RHC)-- The leader of the Cuban Revolution, Raul Castro, on Thursday recognized the work of the workers of the Ministry of Industries (Mindus) of the Caribbean country during the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament).
In a brief speech at the Second Ordinary Session of the legislative body, Raul Castro congratulated Industry Minister Eloy Alvarez and praised his work at the head of the ministry. Alvarez gave an account on Thursday on the work of the Ministry and the challenges it faces.
He recalled that, in recent years, the Cuban economy and industry have been going through a complex scenario associated with the tightening of the blockade imposed by the United States, the impact of the international crisis, the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and the increase in the price of imported inputs, among other factors.
He said that, in spite of the complexities and limitations, the process of consolidating the work of the Ministry and its role in the recovery of the national economy continued.
