Program to study the work of Fidel Castro is being prepared in Cuba
Havana, Jan 30 (RHC) Cuba will implement the National Program for the study, research and dissemination of the thought, life and work of the historical leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro.
During the meeting of the auxiliary structure of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party of Cuba, the director of the Fidel Castro Ruz Center, René González, updated those present about the activity carried out by the institution to comply with this program.
Among the main activities, González specified that, in the first instance, a census was carried out to know the documents related to the leader treasured by the institutions, political and mass organizations, and their state of conservation.
Images and negatives were also digitized, as well as books of interest, from the archives of the Office of Historical Affairs, Editora Política, the Granma and Juventud Rebelde newspapers, ANAP Magazine, personal collections and donations, among others.
The main investigative mission of the Center, also contributing to the program, is the design and preparation of the Selected Works of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro project, which after an extensive selection process will have 23 volumes.
According to González, this work could become the widest source of consultation for the study of the thoughts and life of the Commander in Chief. (Source: PL)
