Havana, February 10 (RHC)-- The second edition of the International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Leftist Parties and Movements will be held in the Cuban capital's Palacio de Convenciones from February 12 to 14.
Nearly one hundred intellectuals, personalities, thinkers and academics from around 32 countries will debate together with their Cuban colleagues on the importance of unity and the position of the youth in the face of fascism and neo-fascism, and will agree on a common agenda to confront these challenges.
The meeting is of great importance for the parties, movements and popular forces of the left and progressives, in view of the worsening of the international situation and the systemic crisis affecting the world, the rise of fascism in various parts, the progressive death of the old world and the delay in the emergence of a new world order, highlighted the call.
In the first of these meetings, held in Havana in February 2023, the participants discussed, among other issues, the new world geopolitical configuration and the right-wing offensive, the systemic and multidimensional crisis on a global scale.
They also discussed the danger of a global nuclear conflagration, cultural colonization, the challenges of progressive forces in today's world and the validity of the legacy of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.
This call of the Revista Cuba Socialista, the theoretical and political organ of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), is co-sponsored by the PCC's Ñico López University, Casa de las Américas, the Cuban chapter of the Network in Defense of Humanity and the Cuban newspapers Granma and Juventud Rebelde.
