Cuban president thanks Bolivia for its unwavering solidarity

Havana, February 12 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel thanked on Monday the unwavering love and solidarity of Bolivia towards his country, during a meeting with Foreign Minister Celinda Sosa.

In the social network X, the head of state described the meeting as a heartfelt encounter, and stressed that, with the brotherhood that unites their peoples, they talked about what has been done and how much more can be done.

Díaz-Canel sent his greetings to his Bolivian counterpart, Luis Arce, while ratifying the will to continue expanding bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation ties in the economic and commercial sphere.

He also acknowledged Bolivia's constant support in the struggle against the blockade imposed by the United States on the island more than six decades ago.

For his part, Sosa affirmed that Cuba and Bolivia are brotherly countries and highlighted the positive impact of Cuban medical missions in his country, especially in the training of Bolivian doctors.

"These are the reasons for coming and visiting and talking with the president to strengthen those diplomatic relations, especially those ties of solidarity, between peoples," the foreign minister stressed   She recalled that Bolivia in several international forums condemns the unilateral U.S. policy against the island, which violates universally established human rights.

The Bolivian Foreign Minister also spoke this Monday with her Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodríguez, who ratified the confidence that both governments and peoples will continue working together as part of the integration mechanisms to which they belong.

Sosa assured that Arce's cabinet seeks to broaden and strengthen the alliance with the Caribbean island within the framework of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Peoples of the Americas - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP).During her stay in Havana, the head of Bolivian diplomacy will deliver a lecture at the University of Havana, on Bolivia's experience with respect to "Industrialization and the Productive Community Social Economic Model".Celinda Sosa took over as head of Bolivian diplomacy last November, becoming the first indigenous woman to occupy this high responsibility in the Andean nation.
