Debate on artificial intelligence in the Cuba Digital Project

Havana, February 17 (RHC) A conference on artificial intelligence will be delivered this Saturday by Dr. Claudia Felipe, coordinator of UNESCO’s Social and Human Sciences Program of the Regional Office, under the title Artificial intelligence: ethics, risks and opportunities. Visions from UNESCO.

In recent international book events, the importance of this topic has been reiterated, attracting the attention of editors, writers and literature lovers alike, the Cubaliteraria website highlights.

In an increasingly digitalized world, the intersection between human creativity and cutting-edge technology has raised fundamental questions about the ethics, risks and opportunities that artificial intelligence (AI) presents in the production and distribution of literary works.

The conference, scheduled for this Saturday at 11:00, local time, in room A4 of San Carlos de la Cabaña fortress, will mark the opening day of the sixth edition of the Cuba Digital Project at the 32nd Havana International Book Fair, offering a platform to explore and reflect on the impact of AI in the publishing world.

How to balance technological innovation with the preservation of the human essence in literary creation? What are the ethical risks associated with artificial intelligence in the production of cultural content? What are the opportunities that this digital revolution offers to expand access to literature and encourage the diversity of voices?

These questions and more will be addressed during the exchange and as part of the theoretical program of this new edition of Cuba Digital, which under the motto One book, one reader, also focuses on topics such as the formation of reading communities through digital platforms and the commercialization of Cuban books in the virtual universe.

The event will also feature the presentation of digital books from Cubaliteraria's editorial catalog, which will be presented every day at the room at 3:00 p.m., local time, in the Con Voz Propia space. (Source: PL)
