Havana, March 8 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated the women of the world on the occasion of their International Women's Day, and especially highlighted the women of Palestine who are suffering from the Israeli genocide.

In his profile on the social network X, the Antillean leader described women as "conquerors of the impossible, who inspire, challenge and encourage us.

The head of state initially distinguished the women of his country and recognized their participation in the construction of the Cuban social project in various sectors of society.

In another post on the same virtual platform, Diaz-Canel wrote: In our hearts a special place for Palestinian women, who have suffered for decades the genocide of the Israeli government against their people.

The president of the Republic of Cuba wished that this International Women's Day becomes a global outcry for them ( the Palestinians), for their right to live in peace.

March 8 was declared by the United Nations as International Women's Day in 1977, with the aim of vindicating the work for women's rights and promoting their participation in the different spheres of society for their emancipation.
