Cuba and France strengthen parliamentary ties in Paris

Havana, March 29 (RHC) The vice president of the Cuban National Assembly, Ana María Mari Machado, will continue today in the French Senate the agenda of her parliamentary visit to Paris, framed in the promotion of bilateral ties in this area.

Mari and her delegation will meet in the upper house with the president of the France-Caribbean Friendship Group of the Senate, Hélène Conway-Mouret.

This Thursday, she spoke in the National Assembly with the president of its Foreign Affairs Commission, Jean-Louis Bourlanges, a meeting in which the Cuban ambassador Otto Vaillant also participated.

The delegation was also received at the Borbón Palace, headquarters of the lower house, by the France-Cuba Friendship Group, an entity with a tradition of solidarity with the island and rejection of the US blockade.

Likewise, the visitors shared details of the Cuban reality and the legislative schedule of the National Assembly, a program derived from the Constitution approved in 2019.
