Cuban ambassador talks with Pakistani university students

Havana, April 24 (RHC) The Cuban ambassador to Pakistan, Zenér Caro, held a meeting today with professors and students of the School of Sociology of the Quaid-i-Azam University.

In a publication on social networks, Caro described the exchange as excellent and a pleasant conversation, with dozens of deep and intelligent questions about Cuba, Pakistan, history, sociology, economics and international relations.

Prior to the meeting, he said that this type of interaction is a good opportunity to return to his professional roots and to learn first-hand about the concerns and questions of young Pakistanis on these issues.

Founded as the University of Islamabad in 1967, the center was initially dedicated to the study of postgraduate education, but later expanded into an interdisciplinary institution that also offers undergraduate education.

It is the largest and highest ranked public university in Pakistan with a total enrollment of more than 13 thousand students and has four faculties and nine affiliated research institutes. It also has collaboration agreements with international organizations such as the United Nations. (Source: PL)
