Cuba decrees Official Mourning for death of Iranian president

During his term as President of Iran since 2021, Raisi contributed decisively to the development and strengthening of relations of friendship and cooperation between his country and Cuba

 

Havana, May 21 (RHC) -- The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, has decreed an Official Mourning from 6:00 a.m on May 21st to 12:00p.m. on May 22, for the death of the president of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi.

During his term as president of Iran since 2021, Raisi contributed decisively to the development and strengthening of relations of friendship and cooperation between both nations.

The Cuban people and Government accompany Iran in this moment of pain and express their confidence that the Islamic Revolution will continue and will know how to recover from this unfortunate event.

During the duration of the Official Mourning, the Cuban flag must be raised on half-mast on public buildings and military institutions.   (Source: Granma)
