Cuba sends condolences to Brazil for plane crash that killed all 61 on board

Havana, August 9 (RHC) -- The member of the Political Bureau of the Cuban Communist Party and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, sent condolences from his account on X to the Government and people of Brazil, especially to the relatives and friends of the victims of the plane crash that occurred in São Paulo, on Friday afternoon.

The ATR-72 twin-engine model plane of the Voepass airline, left Cascavel, in the state of Paraná, bound for Guarulhos, in São Paulo.

The aircraft, with 57 passengers and four crew members on board, crashed to the ground with no survivors reported.

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva spoke about the tragedy during an event, where he asked for a minute of silence for the 61 victims. (Source: ACN)
