Managua, October 16 (RHC) -— A group of Cuban specialists will arrive in Nicaragua on Friday to advise local workers in the fight against Ebola.
The coordinator of the Nicaraguan Communication and Citizenry Council, Rosario Murillo, thanked the Cuban government and people for sending the experts, who will help train Nicaraguan health workers and those who have direct contact with travelers.
Murillo noted that Cuba has already sent a 165-member medical brigade to Africa to contribute to the international fight against the virus.
The Nicaraguan government established a special program against Ebola last week, which includes the strengthening of prevention measures, the setting up of an emergency staff and direct and permanent communication and cooperation with specialized entities.
