Solidarity initiative of the organization The People’s Forum against the blockade

Havana, October 29 (RHC)-- The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, highlighted today through his account on X, the solidarity initiative of the organization The People’s Forum against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States.

The initiative is part of the campaign CUBA IS NOT ALONE, promoted by the movement Artists against the blockade, to make visible the consequences of this blockade in the largest of the Antilles after more than six decades of application.

With this purpose, an advertising truck circulates through the Big Apple, in New York, with images that demand the lifting of coercive measures.

In this regard, the Cuban head of state commented on the social network that the "rulers of the empire who say they have not received any request from Cuba in the most critical moments imposed by the blockade, should listen to their own people."

The People's Forum speaks on their behalf and on ours, said the president.

This Tuesday, the UN General Assembly began its debates dedicated to analyzing the impact of the United States blockade on Cuba, aggravated by the permanence of the Caribbean country on the list of alleged sponsors of terrorism.

For two days, dozens of representatives of the member states will take the podium of the plenary hall, where so many voices have rejected the application of this policy of economic, commercial and financial suffocation.  (Source: PL)
