Havana, November 10 (RHC)-- An earthquake measuring six degrees on the Richter scale was felt this Sunday in the provinces of southeastern Cuba.
The network of stations of the National Center for Seismological Research (Cenais) confirmed that the earthquake was reported as felt at 10:50 local time, located at the coordinates 19.75 degrees north latitude and -76.91 degrees west longitude, at a depth of 10.0 km and with a magnitude of 6.0, located 48 kilometers southeast of Pilón, Granma province.
Perceptibility reports were received from the provinces of Santiago de Cuba, Guantánamo, Granma, Holguín and Ciego de Avila, with no material or human damage reported.
This is the 13th perceptible earthquake of the year 2024.
