Cuban youth to pay tribute to Fidel Castro

Havana, November 24 (RHC)-- The steps of the University of Havana will host this Monday the tribute of Cuban youth to the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, eight years after his death.

According to the newspaper Juventud Rebelde, of the Union of Young Communists, in that emblematic place in the capital the new generations will evoke Fidel Castro through poetry, song, flags, posters, photos and flowers, as an offering of love and loyalty.

At the foot of the Alma Mater, the political-cultural evening will take place and young people will gather to tell the world that they will continue accompanying Fidel.

The activity will also remember that there the Commander in Chief of the Cuban Revolution became a revolutionary, a follower of Jose Martí and a socialist.  Fidel fought many battles for Cuba and for the most just causes in the world, and spoke on numerous occasions to university students, young people and the entire people from those steps.

Yesterday, today and the future will merge in the memory of the eternal young rebel, because Fidel continues to accompany us in the daily battles to preserve the Revolution that he won for this people, stressed the text that urges the new generations to defend Fidel's legacy.   (Prensa Latina)
