Havana, Dec 25 (RHC) A catastrophic explosion occurred on Tuesday night at the asphalt plant in the central Cuban province of Sancti Spiritus, according to reports shared on social media and eyewitness accounts.
The initial information provided by the local newspaper Escambray suggests that the fire may have originated in one of the three tanks containing the liquid known as RC, which is used in the production of asphalt.
A worker was injured in the incident and is currently receiving medical attention at the Camilo Cienfuegos Provincial General Hospital.
