Havana, January 3 (RHC) -- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez has denounced the impunity with which the genocide committed by the Israeli government against the Gazan population continues, which has resulted in more than 45,000 deaths.

According to the Cuban foreign minister, in a message disseminated on X, the invading forces continue to launch indiscriminate bombings on Palestinian civilian infrastructure in Gaza, which includes the pulverization of dozens of healthcare centers.

The head of Cuban diplomacy updated the death toll from the unequal and disproportionate conflict, which, since October 2023, has resulted in 45,581 people killed, of which, he specified, 1,057 were healthcare personnel.

He also specified that the bombs from the so-called Israeli Defense Forces have destroyed 22 hospitals. Those attacks against civilians, refugees, and health centers violate International Humanitarian Law, denounced Rodríguez.

According to data provided by sources from the United Nations (UN), cited by various media outlets, more than 70 percent of the number of those massacred are women and children, and almost all of those residing in these settlements live below the poverty line.

The rates of malnutrition and child malnutrition and the precarious conditions of the Gazan population continue to increase, due to the blockade of food and medicine by Tel Aviv.

The government of the Caribbean island has reiterated its stance of rejecting this genocide, while demanding that the UN Security Council fulfill its mandate and put an end to Israel's impunity with the open complicity of the White House.
