According to the president of Cuba's National Organization of Collective Law Firms, the congress will serve to tackle the challenges associated with the use of information and communication technologies, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of administrative procedures and decision-making processes

Havana, March 6 (RHC) The 2025 International Congress of Lawyers continues today in Havana, with topics such as litigation in civil, family, commercial, and administrative disputes, as well as ethical considerations.

This is the tenth edition of the event, running from this Wednesday until Friday at the Havana Convention Center.

The inaugural session prompted a discussion among professionals in the sector to address current and future obstacles.

Over 650 national and foreign representatives focused on enhancing their understanding of topics that align with the core mission of Cuba’s National Organization of Collective Law Firms (ONBC, in Spanish).

Lilia María Hernández, president of the ONBC, stated that the purpose of the organization is to ensure the right of citizens to technical protection, representation, and legal assistance, both for the public and for emerging economic players.

She pointed out that the congress will serve to tackle the challenges associated with the use of information and communication technologies, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of administrative procedures and decision-making processes.

Furthermore, it will favor the discussion about the importance of enhancing the legal awareness of Cuban citizens and legal professionals, which will lead to improved legal services in a society undergoing constant change. (Source: Prensa Latina)
