
Tegucigalpa, April 9 (RHC)-- Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Anayansi Rodríguez reiterated her country's firm commitment to the Palestinian cause on Tuesday in Tegucigalpa and called for an end to Israel's genocide against that Arab nation.
The official expressed on the social network X that this position was reaffirmed by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez at a meeting of the Hague Group in Defense of Palestine, held in Honduras, in the context of the IX Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
The highest representative of Cuban diplomacy is leading the delegation to the meeting, which will hold its high-level segment tomorrow, Wednesday, to jointly promote collective actions to address the common challenges facing Latin American and Caribbean countries.
In the framework of the meeting, Bruno Rodríguez met today with his Honduran counterpart, Eduardo Enrique Reina, whom he congratulated for the results achieved by that Central American nation during the Pro Tempore Presidency of the mechanism in 2024.
Both parties agreed on the excellent state of bilateral ties, particularly cooperation in the areas of health and education.
The foreign ministers of the CELAC member countries today finalized the documents that the presidents of the political coordination mechanism will approve tomorrow during the bloc's 9th Summit.
