San Salvador, November 6 (RHC), -- Dozens of Salvadorians participated Wednesday evening in a candlelight vigil at the monument dedicated to Salvadorian Monsignor Oscar Arnulfo Romero, as a way to express their solidarity with Cuba and demand the immediate release of three Cuban anti-terrorist fighters unjustly incarcerated in the United States since 1998.

Antonio Guerrero, Gerardo Hernández and Ramón Labañino are members of the Cuban Five group. The other two members of the group, René González and Fernando González, are back in Cuba but only after fully serving their unjust prison terms.

With Wednesday's action, the Salvadorian solidarity activists have joined the world campaign to win justice for the Cuban Five.

Participants in the solidarity action included veterans of the former Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front guerrilla movement, students of the University of El Salvador, representatives of the Romero Movement, which groups followers of the ideas of Monsignor Oscar Arnulfo Romero and members of the Salvadorian Solidarity with Cuba Association.
