Havana, December 20 (ACN-RHC)-- The Cuban National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament) thanked all parliamentarians and legislators of the world for their support to the cause of the Cuban Five.

The 546 Cuban deputies present at Friday's parliamentary session unanimously approved a statement issued by the International Relations Committee of the Cuban Parliament.

In the statement, read by the legislator Yolanda Ferrer Gómez, the Cuban deputies express their full support for President Raul Castro's speech delivered Wednesday and also their joy over the return to the Homeland of Gerardo Hernández, Antonio Guerrero and Ramon Labañino, after a long battle for justice.

The declaration adopted also thanked any foreign governments and solidarity groups all over the world, who embraced the Cuban Five's cause as if it were their own, and stressed that the Cuban Five are symbols of the dignity that has always characterized the Cuban people.
