Cuba Celebrates Founding of Vietnamese Communist Party

Havana, February 4 (RHC) – A gala celebrating the 85th anniversary of the foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam was held Tuesday in Havana with the participation of Vietnamese and Cuban officials, who conveyed their congratulatory messages and highlighted the strong relationship between the two countries’ governments, parties and people.

Also on Monday, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, and President of the Council of State and Ministers, Raul Castro, conveyed the warmest congratulations to leaders, Party members and the people of Vietnam. The Cuban president said he looks forward to continued collaboration to boost socialism, build the Party, and foster fraternal ties between the two Parties, governments and peoples.

The birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam on February 3, 1930 constitutes an important historical event and a significant turning point in the history of the Vietnamese revolution, marking a milestone in the country’s development path.

Under the Party’s leadership, the Vietnamese people successfully carried out the August Revolution in 1945 and the 1975 Spring Offensive, entering a new chapter of development.
