Paris, February 16 (RHC) -- The Cuban Ambassador to France Hector Igarza highlighted the increase of French visitors to the Caribbean island during 2014, according to a press release from the Embassy in Paris. Igarza added during a presentation on the Cuba tourist destination that during that period, the number of French tourists reached 103,475, which represented a 7.1% increase from the previous year.
Rosa Adela Mejías, head of the Tourism Department of the Embassy, characterized each of the Cuban provinces and its particular appeals including sun and beach, culture, health ecosystems and sea diving.
Also, representatives from Cubana Airlines and the Sol Latino tour operator briefed participants on the work of both agencies and their efforts devoted to offer a broader and better service to the clients.
During the meeting, held at Alejo Carpentier Hall of the Cuban Embassy, attendees were offered some useful information on air connections with the Caribbean island, particularly through its flagship airline Cubana.
France still is one of the leading source tourism markets for Cuba. According to the experts, the Gaul market has great perspectives to be developed and shows that tourists have great interest in visiting Cuba.
