Havana, March 2 (RHC) -– The European Union and Cuba will hold a third round of talks on March 4th and 5th in Havana to reach a first bilateral accord focusing on human rights and economic opening.

European Community sources, cited by CubaSi Web page, said that the human rights issue is not only a sensitive aspect to deal with, since reaching an accord between a state-controlled economy and a market economy is quite difficult.

Brussels and Havana opened negotiations in April 2014 focusing on cooperation and are now addressing bilateral economic relations during the upcoming meeting, which was originally scheduled for late 2014 but was postponed at the request of Cuban authorities.

According to EU sources, the accord has three main points, including political dialogue, cooperation and commercial issues.
