Havana, July 11 (RHC) -- The historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, met on Thursday with officers and civil workers of the Ministry of the Interior and the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR).

Fidel Castro presented them with diplomas acknowledging their outstanding work in food production, according to an official press release.

In an animated dialogue with the participants at the meeting, the historic leader referred to the rapid growth of the world's population, in a context of climate change, water shortage and international conflicts that have led to an increase in prices. In this regard, Fidel Castro noted the importance of promoting food production and self-sufficiency.
