Havana, Aug 8, (RHC), -- The Special Deputy representative of the UN Secretary General, Morad Wahba labeled as excellent the work done by the Cuban medical brigade in Haiti.
Wahba said that such work is widely recognized at the highest level of the United Nations, that on various occasions has praised the commitment and hard work of the Cuban collaborators in fighting the cholera pandemic in Haiti, and more recently the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.
The UN official also expressed interest in maintaining a close cooperative relationship with Cuban organizations and institutions, particularly to address the impact of future natural disasters and epidemics in Haiti.
