Cochabamba, October 13 (RHC)-- Cuba and Venezuela will establish what they have dubbed 'The 2015-2030 Work Plan', aimed at fulfilling the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The 2030 Agenda, adopted by world leaders at the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit on September 25th, 2015, includes a set of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and tackle climate change by 2030.
Addressing Monday's closing session of the 2nd Peoples' Conference on Climate Change and the Defense of Life in Cochabamba, Bolivia, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, stressed that once a common strategy on the issue is properly defined, Cuba and Venezuela will submit it for discussion and approval by all the other members of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas-Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP).
President Maduro reiterated Venezuela's unconditional support for Cuba against Washington's over 50 year-old blockade. He stressed that on October 27th, Venezuela will vote once again in favor of the Cuban-sponsored UN resolution that calls for the lifting of the unfair US policy.
