Havana, November 10 (RHC)-- The Cuban Chapter of the Network in Defense of Humanity, made up of intellectuals, artists, scientists and social activists, has condemned attempts by satellite services provider Arabsat to silence pan-Arabist satellite TV channel Al Mayadeen.

A communique issued in Havana, expresses the Cuban chapter's support for the struggle being waged by the staff of the TV channel to stay on the air, denouncing injustices and promoting the just causes of peoples in the Middle East and around the world.

The text expresses that the latest attempts to silence Al Mayadeen violate freedom of expression and the rights of the Arab peoples.
