Havana, November 26 (RHC)-- High-ranking delegations from Cuba and the United States will meet next week in Washington to discuss migration and the fight against drug trafficking, in the framework of the ongoing process towards the normalization of bilateral relations.

Authorities with the Cuban Foreign Ministry told reporters that the meeting will take place Monday and Tuesday, November 30th and December 1st, at the U.S. State Department. They said that Cuba will insist on its rejection of the Cuban Adjustment Act and other related pieces of U.S. legislation, including the so-called 'Dry-feet Wet-feet' policy and the Cuban Medical Professional Parole Program, which encourage illegal immigration to the United States.

Next week's U.S.-Cuba talks will be presided over by Josefina Vidal, Cuba's Director of the North America Division at the Cuban Foreign Ministry and by U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Alex Lee.
