Havana, January 13 (RHC)-- Lilianne Ploumen, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Netherlands and her accompanying delegation of government officials and business executives concluded their three-day visit to Cuba on Wednesday.

Exchanges between delegations from the two countries centered on three issues: hydraulic resources, food production and renewable energy, in tune with Cuba's prioritized development plans.

Shortly before their departure from Havana, Guido Landheer, the Deputy Director- General for Foreign Economic Relations for the Nethlands said in a press conference that each of the 77 entrepreneurs, who were accompanying Minister Ploumen, identified mutually beneficial business opportunities with Cuban counterparts in their respective sectors.

Among the highlights of the visit, Landheer mentioned the setting up of the Suchel Unilever S.A. joint venture. Several letters of intent were also signed between Dutch and Cuban companies, that he said paved the way for the business participation of other Dutch companies.
