Buenos Aires, May 21 (PL/RHC) – A documentary exposing how Cubans feel about the permanence of the US Naval Base in Guantanamo was screened in Buenos Aires on Friday.

“Todo Guantanamo es Nuestro”—or “All of Guantanamo Belongs to Us”—, by Colombian filmmaker Hernando Calvo Ospina, captures through interviews the feelings of Cubans towards the U.S. military presence in that portion of Cuban territory illegally occupied by the United States.

Showing of the film in Argentina was attended by Cuban Ambassador Orestes Perez and by Carlos Aznarez, director of Argentina’s political weekly 'Resumen Latinoamericano', which produced the documentary. The screening in Buenos Aires coincided with the film’s premiere in Paris, Luxembourg, Geneva, Stockholm, Canary Islands, Madrid and Venezuela. The film is also scheduled for screening at the European Parliament on June 1.

The producers said their film is in solidarity with Cuba and that they have included it among the tributes this year to commemorate the 90th birthday of Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro.
