Parody of intrepid warriors

In the succession of attempts to create unmanageable situations in Cuba, the proclaimed attempt to fly from Miami to Havana by a small group of alleged warriors stood out for its caricatured tinge, in a redemptive raid, according to their preachers.

They mobilized money, hired a private jet, made bombastic declarations, dressed in white and spoke of plans to, from Havana, "inspect", if they were allowed, an unconstitutional plan in this country.

With briefcases at their side, posed before the cameras, among others, a legislator from a European country, a lady involved in Trumpist travails and an influencer, known for associating intrigues to his fierce calls to Washington to "shut everything down" and starve the residents of the archipelago.

MEP Hermann Tertsch, of the ultra-conservative Spanish party Vox, emerged among those on the flight, at whose destination -they said- they had the right to land.

The journalist and writer has been described by the Spanish website Público as one of the greatest political exponents of intoxication with lies, since, the source pointed out, it is impossible to keep track of the hoaxes he has spread.

At the beginning of 2020, Izquierda Unida and Podemos filed a complaint against Hermann Tertsch before the Spanish Supreme Court for instigating a coup d'état.

With such pretensions, it would be possible to consider that the MEP acted as an escort for his companion in the spoiled trip to Havana, Rosa Payá.

The latter is the president of "Cuba Decide", an organization financed by the NED, National Endowment for Democracy, in turn paid by USAID, the United States Agency for International Development.

Both are tools of the U.S. State Department for subversion campaigns, such as the one the illustrious collective wanted to "examine" in Cuba.

The strolling column had to hastily retract its objective, since it would not be welcome, after assuring that it would arrive in the Cuban capital. In the end, the intrepid mission was cut short.

What analysts described as a circus act came to an end, although, yes, those involved in the farce showed their close ties.

Nothing was lost in Cuba when the aerial cavalcade failed.
