Protest one year of genocidal war against the Palestinian people / Poster issued by CODE PINK

This October 7th marks one year since the people of Gaza showed the world that the Palestinian people will continue to resist their forced displacement and dispossession.

As we approach the one year mark of Israel’s genocide against Gaza, we salute the Palestinian people’s steadfastness and resistance.

We call for October 5th as a Global Day of Action for Palestine -- to mark this year as one where Palestinians resist Zionist occupation, siege and ethnic cleansing, as they have for over 75 years.

In the span of one year, the Gaza Health Ministry has released the names of over 40,000 martyrs, with updated projections estimating over 189,000 martyrs.  Yet amidst this genocide, the people in Gaza, across Palestine, and across the world remain steadfast in their resistance.

The genocidal Zionist project has passed a point of failure beyond which there is no return, due in no small part to the international protest movement.  From the halls of Columbia University and UCLA to the camps in Lebanon, from the farthest reaches of the diaspora to those nearest to Palestine's occupied homeland, we have put enormous roadblocks in Zionism’s path, roadblocks that will soon prove insurmountable.

The struggle continues!

On October 5th, we will make clear -- from wherever we are around the world -- that our movement will not go away until full liberation and the right to return are won.   We will not stop, we will not rest and we will not surrender!  Every inch of Palestinian territory must be free!!
