Burgos, Spain, September 6 (RHC) – The Cuban Shooting Guard Jasiel Rivero will reinforce, next season, the roster of the team San Pablo Burgos, of the Spanish Basketball League.
The news was confirmed by the team´s Sports Director, Albano Martinez, who added that the 25-year old, 6´9´´ athlete should arrive to Burgos in the next few days to be officially included in the team´s roster.
According to Diario de Burgos, a local news agency, Rivero is linked to the ``Big Blues´´ since last season, although he was out on a loan in the Atletico Boca Juniors, in Argentina, a team that reached the play offs in the Argentinian League with Rivero as one of their best players.
Albano Martinez also points out that Rivero, also former player of the Estudiantes de Concordia, had not been able to join Burgos because of paperwork issues in Cuba, nevertheless, Martinez assures that ``the player will be a part of the main roster of the team´´.
Jasiel Rivero is now the second Cuban Basketball player to arrive to the prestigious Spanish championship under the representation of the Cuban Basketball Federation. In the summer of 2018, the Center Javier Justiz , debuted with the Casademont Zaragoza.
