"Wallace acted freely when he was suspended from his activities by virtue of the previously practiced unethical act, which consisted of inciting violence, through social networks, insinuating to shoot against the president of the Republic," states the unanimous decision of the BOC Ethics Council.

The infractions occurred after the veteran player, 35, asked in January on a social network if someone would give a shot to Lula.

Thus, the player is separated from any and all events related to the discipline that are characterized as Federation, Confederation or Olympic Committee events for the next five years.

In addition to Wallace's suspension, the board also announced sanctions for the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV).

The CBV was punished with the loss of fund transfers for six months. In addition, Radamés Lattari, acting helmsman of the entity, was suspended.

According to the BOC, the CBV not only used trickery to breach the ruling against Wallace, but also consented to the player's registration in a match organized by the entity.
