United Nations, Abril 13 (RHC) United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called on all 193 UN member nations to work together on goals and actions towards the next Climate Summit to take place in September.
Ban sent his message following the report release Sunday in Berlin by the UN Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change, an expert group that reiterated the urgency to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse-effect gasses into the atmosphere.
The UN September forum will be key in setting the grounds for a global climate convention in 2015, which faces dangers, such as the temperature and ocean levels, Ki-moon said. All efforts to reach that agreement will be valid and necessary, said Ki-moon, who also stressed the ne report by the Panel established in 1988.
