Guatemala City, July 10 (RHC)-- An armed attack carried out Friday evening inside a nightclub in the capital of Guatemala left at least four dead and two wounded.
The National Civil Police of Guatemala indicated that at the time of the incident, the attackers were inside the discotheque and after several discussions the shooting occurred. According to police sources, the attack would have been a direct attack against the victims. Among the fatalities are two workers of the nightclub.
The Volunteer Firefighters reported that a woman and a man were taken with gunshot wounds to the Guatemalan Institute of Social Security (IGSS). The wounded were identified as Héctor Roberto Donis Yantuche, 38, and Diana Grisel Rodriguez Garrido, 30.
The police reported that after the armed attack, they located a vehicle in the vicinity of the discotheque, in which they found three assault rifles, two handguns and bulletproof vests believed to have been used in the attack.
