Nicaragua accredits 180 electoral observers for upcoming vote

Managua, October 31 (RHC)-- The Government of Nicaragua reports that it accredited 180 electoral observers from different countries for the general elections of next November 7th.

The Vice President of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, said that there will be electoral observers from Europe, Russian Federation and America, who will be present at the elections.

"We already have 180 electoral accompaniers that have been increasing from the countries we mentioned yesterday, in Europe, the Russian Federation and then also in our America, all the countries we mentioned, adding more from Guatemala and Honduras, who sent their accreditation yesterday," she said.

Murillo specified that the electoral accompaniers come from "Abkhazia, Belgium, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, South Ossetia, Russia, and from our America: Argentina Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, United States, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Trinidad and Tobago."

"We are talking about 180 electoral accompaniers who will be with our people on November 7, in that historic electoral day of sovereignty, independence and national identity", dhe added.

The Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN), Nicaragua's ruling party, has said it expects people to turn out to vote massively in these elections, in which Daniel Ortega seeks his third consecutive reelection.
