Caracas, September 26 (RHC)-- The Venezuelan government rejected on Monday the report presented by the International Fact-Finding Mission to the Human Rights Council of the United Nations.
The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, published a statement on his X account in which he expresses Caracas' "most categorical rejection" of "the unusual false and unfounded accusations" made in a new report presented during the present day.
"The pseudo-report presented follows the same fate as the previous ones: without methodological support or knowledge of the reality of the country, it intends to continue attacking Venezuelan institutions as part of the criminal and interferenceist policy of 'regime change' promoted by the Government of the United States, with the complicity of its satellite governments in the world," the text reads.
In turn, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs described the Mission as "shameful", which, he assured, constitutes "an absurdity of the nefarious and defunct Lima Group, and its members are mercenaries paid to lie about such a sacred issue as human rights."
In this regard, Venezuela reiterated its "absolute rejection and disregard for this type of parallel, unnecessary and aggressive mechanisms that, through their pronouncements, violate the Charter of the United Nations".
Based on this, the high diplomat ratified the condition of the nation as a democratic and social State, of Law and Justice, while assuring that it will continue to assume the promotion, respect and protection of human rights.
Finally, the Foreign Minister reiterated that the Bolivarian Republic will continue to cooperate with the Human Rights Council and the Office of the High Commissioner on the basis of adherence to the principles of objectivity, non-selectivity, impartiality, non-interference in internal affairs, respect for multilateralism and constructive dialogue.
