Caracas, February 15 (RHC)-- Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil announced on Thursday that the Bolivarian Government took the decision to suspend the activities of the technical advisory office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in the country.
The top Venezuelan diplomat informed that in the next 30 days he will carry out a comprehensive review of the terms of technical cooperation described in the Letter of Understanding signed with said office. He requested that the personnel assigned to said office leave the South American nation in the next 72 hours until such time as they publicly rectify before the international community their colonialist, abusive and violating attitude of the United Nations Charter.
He regretted that this office is recurrently used as a sounding board at international level to maintain a discourse against the Venezuelan government and people.
He assured that, far from having an impartial attitude, it has become the private office of the coup and terrorist groups that permanently conspire against our country.
