Gaza City, November 29 (RHC)-- At least 17 Palestinians have been killed and an unspecified number of others injured in a fresh round of Israeli strikes on various areas across the Gaza Strip as the occupying entity ramps up its atrocious onslaught on the besieged territory.

Palestine’s official news agency WAFA said nine people were killed and several others wounded as a result of violent shelling by the Israeli occupation on the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip on Thursday.

The aggression included intense bombardments in the north of the refugee camp, preceded by numerous airstrikes in the same area.  Local media reports said Israeli warplanes also targeted the al-Mustaqbal Tower in al-Jadeed Camp and destroyed the al-Nasra Tower in Camp 5, both located in Nuseirat.

WAFA said four Palestinians lost their lives when Israeli airstrikes targeted two homes in the Beit Lahia housing project area in northern Gaza.

In the south, four Palestinians were killed and several injured in another Israeli massacre east of Khan Yunis, where the occupation forces bombed a person on a bicycle.  The resistance media also said several had been wounded by Israeli bombs dropped by quadcopters in Jabalia, northern Gaza.

Israel's latest aggression came a day after more than a dozen people lost their lives when the regime's warplanes carried out strikes against al-Tabi'een school, which served as a shelter for displaced people, and a residential building in the northern sector of the Gaza Strip.  Israeli military forces also besieged a school in the Beit Lahia project area, forcing the displaced people inside to leave.

Backed by the United States and its Western allies, Israel launched the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas waged the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the Israeli regime in response to the occupying entity’s decades-long campaign of bloodletting and devastation against Palestinians.

The regime’s bloody onslaught on Gaza has so far killed 44,282 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 104,880 others. Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

It has also been committing war crimes such as starving the population and intentionally directing attacks against the civilian population in the besieged territory.
